Considering how these were all things complained about for years, seems like we need better athletes.

I agree. I hate to say it, but it just seems like 1/3 of our entire roster is FBS level talent. We say what happened when we had talent that could overcome coaching. We don’t have that talent.

We have talent in spots such as WR, but other spots we are as devoid of talent as I’ve seen in some time. It will take a couple of really good signing classes plus help in the portal to turn this thing around.

Still thinking a coaching change is needed, at least at DC. These guys were not 1 star recruits but they are hardly stopping any play by any team.

2013 was an awful team. All it took to get to the championship game in 2014 was Cody Sokol, Carlos Henderson, and Manny Diaz.

We will never have another Diaz caliber DC. Talk about the stars aligning

Probably not, but this guy doesn’t seem prepared for the job.

I absolutely agree with you, but other than Diaz, that seems to be our MO. We either hire a washed up has been such as Darlington, or an up-an-comer such as Baker or the guy we have now. If you remember, Baker was terrible his first year, and after he finally figured it out, he got hired away. Until we increase pay for assistants, I’m afraid that’s our lot in life.

Guys who can tackle. Man it’s refreshing to watch guys wrap up and pull a runner down without the rest of the team helping. Also, if a guys makes a shoestring tackle, it’s awesome watching a runner fail to shake loose while another player cleans it up. Haven’t seen that at Tech in a long time.
