    Upset in the making?

    On Quarterback situation…
"The big reason last week was with Parker's (McNeil) health. Landry (Lyddy) went out and played well. There were some things in terms of reads and progressions out there but for his firstgame he did a very nice job giving our football team a chance to win. As long as Parker does not have any setbacks this week he will be out there as the starter and we will go from there. I am excited to see how Landry does today based off of playing 81 snaps and his growth and development… That is the plan this week. Parker is healthy and barring any setbacks that is the direction we will go."

On Griffin Hebert and Tre Harris...
"I would anticipate them being available. They are both working hard to get back and I look forward to them working in practice and getting back. It is a big hit when you have a lot of stuff directed one way then that goes out the window so you have to scrap those plans and find another way to get people the ball."

Cumbie mentioned Monday night that a decision will be made on Grubbs in the next week or two. Didn't sound good, so he may be shut down for the year.

Wish we had Grubbs coming back this week. But I am still calling for the upset this week. More so because I just need to see a win. Plus MTSU isn't that good either.

Grubs may qualify for a 6th year medical hardship (his 5th yr being the COVID "redo" gift year everyone received). On the other hand, Grubbs may not want to play football that long. Six years of college football puts a lot of wear and tear on a players' body when you actually play the way Grubs does. He's a sideline to sideline wild man out there, and his body takes a lot of impact.

The problem is you don’t feel it in its entirety until you get older.

Someone else wondered about this a couple of weeks ago. Unfortunately Grubbs doesn't qualify under the current rules.
