We are still at +2.5. I say the three game losing streak ends Saturday. So the +2.5 is a gift. Go Bulldogs.

MTSU -2.5 @ Tech
Tech MTSU
Scoring Offense 31.6 (54) 27.5 (75)
Total Offense 397.8 (68) 362.6 (90)
Passing Offense 286.1 (26) 256.2 (51)
Rushing Offense 111.6 (110) 106.4 (114)
Scoring Defense 36.92 (130) 29.25 (89)
Total Defense 476.2 (126) 409.6 (96)
Passing Defense 237.0 (76) 271.1 (114)
Rushing Defense 239.2 (131) 138.5 (61)
Key MTSU players.
QB Chase Cunningham 199 for 297, 67%, 2057 yards, 13-5.
RB Frank Peasant 102 for 458, 4.5 ypc, 6 td’s, 57.25 ypg
Darius Bracey 35 for 128, 3.7 ypc, 2 td’s, 18.29 ypg
WR Jaylin Lane 43 for 653, 15.19 ypc, 3 td’s, 93.29 ypg
Izaiah Gathings 41 for 374, 9.12 ypc, 1 td’s, 46.75 ypg
Yusuf Ali 33 for 246, 246 ypc, 2 td’s, 30.75 ypg
We have the nations worst rushing defense, but MTSU isn’t very good running the ball. They do have three capable looking pass catchers. Jaylin Lane looks to have big play capability. Wish we had Tyler back, but I still like our chances tomorrow.
I think our offense will be okay tomorrow if the turnover bug doesn’t rear its ugly head. I see a boost Tre, Smoke and Griffin already to go apparently. I like our three guys. If Crosby can run against them, it will open our offense even more. I think we will win outright and end the three-game losing streak.

I can’t say what it is exactly but MT will over achieve in some area of the game that makes a significant difference in their expected play. Meanwhile Tech/Cumbie will blunder some things as has become customary for us. In the end it’ll all come down to each team’s last possession. I see it being on Cumbie’s shoulders again to make the right decision at the right time. So far this year, he hasn’t shined. Hopefully today he gets it right like the Bearcats did last night in beating West Monroe for the first time in 32 years. I still don’t know how a decently good football school like Ruston has been can lose to their biggest rival for so long. Tech has had and still has some daddies out their but not to this scale. Go Dawgs… start winning!

Are you serious, first time in 32 years?
As for Coach Crumble, I have zero confidence he will do anything right. Maybe MTSU will just eff-up enough so the Dawgs can escape with a win.

Middle finger U ain’t that good. If we don’t have any ST snafus and win the turnover battle, we win.

McNeil starting at QB.
On defense Grubbs is still out and may not be back except maybe for the last game or two. DJ Jackson still out at DT.
Good news on offense as Hebert may be back on at least a limited basis, Tre Harris is good to go, and Cyrus Allen is also ready.
Overall this is the healthiest this team has been since UTEP.

Middle Tennessee wins the toss and defers.
Patrick Foy is the white hat. Third game with him this year--at USA and at North Texas. He also worked the Middle Tennessee at UTEP game last week. Some of these officiating assignment decisions by C-USA are baffling.

Charlotte back to being Charlotte. Losing to WKU 52-7 with the ball in the 4th.

Smoke drop on 1st down sent the opening drive into the ditch.

An ugly start doing what we don’t do well… short passes around the middle of the field.

Defense gets off the field.

13 played that pass defense well letting the ball hit him in the back of the head. He almost puffed up about it but caught himself, haha.

CUSA standings graphic is pretty depressing.
