That’s a touch harsh considering the seriously bad play calling and receivers not catching the ball. The whole team was beat in the first 2 possessions. Just took him three times as long to do it at Tech than it took at USF. Guess he really did like Squire Creek that much.
Some of y'all need to get off the "blame Holtz" bandwagon. This team is a pathetic joke due to ZERO, NADA, coaching! Ten games in and the team is worst now than when a mediocre Mizzou bunch throttled us. This whole staff is in way over their heads. Wouldn't even qualify for half-decent SWAC staff.

Hard to believe Holtz almost beat Sonny Dykes and Mike Leach with this kind of team.
In the post game interview Cumbie said he and his staff didn’t do a good job coaching all week long. Like it’s been said, Cumbie is falling way short this season of being a competent coach… not that it matters much because Tech doesn’t really care. What that means is that we’re suckers for caring.
Considering how expensive the buyout is, they're gonna be blaming Holtz for a while
Holtz screwing us and Cumbie being in over his head aren't mutually exclusive.

There are a lot of us that won’t live long enough to see Tech become a winner again. I had no idea just how bad we really are. It will take YEARS to recover, if we ever do. I wouldn’t be surprised if some of our better players don’t transfer through the portal after this year.

Easily the best part of today’s game day experience was the post game call-in show. The host, Ben Carlisle of Bleed Tech Blue was great and by an infinite degree was far more passionate about his reaction to the team’s embarrassing performance than any of who played or coached in it. If Carlisle’s disgust had been a part of Tech’s preparation we wouldn’t have had our asses handed to us so shamefully the way we did.
And yes, Guice #1, McClelland #2 and Holtz #3 have destroyed Tech’s football program. If Cumbie can’t restore it in the next 3 years it’ll be as long dead as what Reneau did to the Lady Techsters.
Please, blow more money we don’t have.
