Williams Duo Leads LA Tech to First Road Win

Terran and Cobe Williams combined for 36 points as the Louisiana Tech Men's Basketball team hung on for their first road win of the season, defeating Alabama A&M by a final score of 80-75 on Wednesday night inside the newly-opened A&M Event Center.

Well HBCs have been winning a lot of games vs. P5s and other basketball quality programs. Alcorn State beat Wichita State, Southern beat Cal Bears, Prairie View beat Washington State, to name but a few.

Besides, who are we? A program who hasn't been Dancing for 30+ years!! Yeah, right... Any win is a good win, and THANKFUL for it!

Pac 12/SWAC Legacy Series has given the Pac 12 some losses they probably didn't expect when they played, including at SWAC venues. At least Tech didn't lose at a SWAC arena.

This LA Tech team just DOESN'T WANT to Play Defense. Gave up 42 points in the 2nd half to an HBC? Seriously? That number should be about 32 instead of 42.

We have a lot of good, experienced, basketball players on this team. But so far, I don't think the coaching is worth a damn.

I think they play very aggressively which causes us to get in foul trouble. Just about every game the opponent has at least 10 more FTs than us

That's how Rick Stansberry (WKU) used to beat us before Konkol finally wised up. Stansberry knew if he could get to the free throw line 10-15 times more than us, he had a good chance of winning the game on free throws alone.

The last 2 or 3 yrs Konkol finally wised up and flipped the script on Stansberry. Hester has got to get smarter too.

Can't defend when bad offense gives up boatloads of live ball turnovers. That's a problem that needs to be fixed ASAP.
