It’s easier to just save you have no more $#!+$ to give
Apparently Tech’s losing season isn’t over yet.
I don’t believe Cumbie is going to be able to right the ship in Ruston. I could be wrong, and hope that I am, but I just don’t see it.
The Athletic put out an article recently about HS recruiting in Louisiana, mostly about Brian Kelly. But the coaches, especially in South Louisiana were raving about Cumbie and his staff. Will that translate to winning, I don't know.
Most people don't get the full depths this program had sunken to the last three years under Holtz -
It was void of talent -
There is a reason NO ONE hired him away, it wasn't because he loved Ruston that he stayed here, it's because no TRUE offers ever came...

He (and the staff) stopped recruiting in 2018.
Once the rockstar finished in 2019, they had nothing left on the team.
This is why I don’t understand the thought of some people that we should have promoted Sloan. I didn’t see it. Maybe he was trying to recruit and was the only one.
Almost by default our record will be better next season. We will be playing 3 schools who were FCS schools this season. We will be playing 3 schools with new head coaches. Plus 2 schools not included in these groups who had losing seasons this year.
Plus year 2 of Sonny's version of the Air Raid offense should show improvement after showing very little improvement in year 1. The defense should improve dramatically in year 2 as well. Actually almost impossible to get worse. Plus if you are to believe the apologists the defensive scheme is so complex it can not be taught in only one season, so the defense should produce much better results. Just imagine a defense so complex it takes players over a year to learn it. These FCS schools and schools with new head coaches won't know what hit them.
And I'll be honest -
I just don't care much anymore
NIL has ruined it for me - transfer portal is bad, NIL is the kicker for me
Tech could start a collective tomorrow and I wouldn't commit ONE RED CENT...
