I lived across the street from the guy over LTAC for several years. He has moved on. Many of my suggestions about our operations were conveyed through him to those over his head and nothing ever changed. Friends with several others who will listen and pass on concerns and nothing ever happens. If it takes 1000 of us to all go sit down with EW or JH to get anything to change for the better, then we are stuck for eternity.
I am willing to be one of the thousand. I wish I had the $$ personally to designate for specific things our teams need ex. indoor practice complex. All I have is a willingness to do what I can. Just listening to echo chambers of negativity is not getting anything done.
Many iin the Tech athletics administration took a side trip to Harding a couple of years ago. (Yes, the Harding playing Saturday in the National D2 Championship game in McKinney).
Their $5.5 million facility is way better than many built by D1s . . . and fully funded by former football player (ask our AD who led the visit). The Harding head coach. THE HEAD COACH! hit the trail and raised money to fund the facility to honor his predecessor.
So . . . it can be done. We've just chased away all but a few notable Tech alums who can connect with people and hit the trail and have this kind of impact.

The real problem is we have failed at meaningful alumni engagement for decades upon decades. Simply expected people to come to games and give because they went to Tech. In a perfect world that would be awesome, but people have to feel wanted/like their dollars or time matter, and we haven't done that well at all.
