It isn't laziness that allows wide-open layups when the lineup Hester puts on the floor is a wing forward and 4 guards to play against teams with a major post presence.Originally Posted by revf

Cobe will likely train his ass off and hit the transfer portal. I could see him being the starting PG on a mid-level potential top-25 team next year. Man had really no help. Imagine scoring 19ppg without shooting 10 threes a game on this team?? He gets to the hole, disperses the ball accordingly and constantly hustles on defense. Someone will take him on and I’m sure he will be much happier with even playing less minutes in an actual program. We seem to be playing basketball with one goal…. to finish the schedule we have to play.

I agree. I've been watching Cobe for 3 years now, and I like him. He's a hell of a point guard. I don't understand some of the outward animosity I'm reading about Cobe on this board. Two years ago, I watched Cobe play better with a broken hand than most of our players did with healthy hands. There's more, but, nobody cares, and I guess we're moving on without him.

I wouldn’t stick around either if the coach never took responsibility for losses. It’s his job to put players in a position to win based on their skills and matchups. He is just as responsible for any outcome as the players.
Did Hester even bother with a press conference this week? I don’t see one posted which leads me to believe he didn’t.
As others have said, this team and more importantly the head coach are playing just to get through their remaining games. I don’t see another win left on the schedule and I wouldn’t book my hotel rooms in Frisco for longer than one night.
Sometimes a program that’s been “20 wins and successful” needs to fall flat on their face to make needed changes… I hope that is the case for us and we make the right changes to get us back at the least being fun to watch! I can’t watch this team.. and I don’t think we are completely void of talent. We just suck lol

Cobe won't be able to do anything if, lets say, he might be "Academically Ineligible". Just a thought.

I am worried we are completely void of talent at a key position...Head Coach.
My hope is he wasn't hired on a reputation as a recruiter and "to keep a player(s) from leaving". Please tell me Dr. Wood sees an actual system there somewhere, because I can tell you nobody else does.
Seems like we have had a rash of AD’s who simply think Tech is such small peanuts that we should be happy we can even get a coach. Maybe if our coaches and athletic department people thought or acted like Tech as a legitimate job then things would be different.
