We have finally reached the top 5 and, IF we can stay there or higher, that bye to the quarterfinals is ours. Charlotte is just one game behind us, so this is a big one. They are are big from now to the end of the season. And for those complaining about our shooting at UNT, I DO agree - however, we kept UNT to 44 POINTS which is a huge defensive effort. We will need that type of defense from here on out.

Win is a win, but this game should never have gotten into OT or a 2nd OT.

22 of 27 for 81.5% from the FT line and needed every one of those 22 makes. Walker was 15 of 17. She has to have the ball in her hands in crunch time and either score or get fouled, and then nail the FTs.

All 5 FT misses were in the first OT when Tech should have easily won it.

. You are exactly right. Walker is the engine for this team and it always needs to be in her hands in the final minute of close games. She is amazing at drawing fouls. Her speed and quickness is key for us. I know she was beating herself up by missing two FT's in the waning seconds to send it to OT, but she saved us in OT and Double OT. I wish we would not go so cold at times with our shooting, but we make up for it with defense (most of the time) and can catch fire at any time. Two VERY tough games this coming week with #1 and #2 in the conference. Both WKU and MTSU are very good, but we were without Roberson on their court for those losses. Getting them on our home court with our full team should help a LOT! If we could pull off a couple of upsets this week, our seed should be decent. Rice is one spot above us and they swept us this year (barely in both games), so they will be difficult to jump past in the seeding but winning both games this week might do the trick.
