Northwestern loads the bases with 2 out in the 7th, and Harland comes in to replace Williams.
Harland gets a strikeout to keep it 15-9 Tech.

Tech strands two and doesn't score in the 7th.

Should be able to start the 9th before 4:00 without a wild 8th.

Nice play by McLeod deep in the hole to save a run and end the Northwestern 8th.

    Drost leadoff walk.
Matulia 2 out triple off the wall down the right field line makes it 16-9 Tech.

Harland allows a walk in the 9th, but that's it.

Best outing for Harland, but no save since he only went 2.1 innings.

Tech 16-9 final. Wave the broom.

As Dwayne posted, nothing short of a sweep would do. This is baseball, though, so take nothing for granted.

Burroughs said NU is better than their record. Hmmmm....they are 0-9. Better than what?

Northwestern could be the best 0-9 team in the country. That by itself still doesn't mean they are any good.

Martinez was very disappointing today and has been so far this year. I don’t know what’s up with that. This whole game could’ve probably gone way differently and much more easily if Smith had let that ball go up the middle instead of trying to bare hand it. McLeod would’ve likely fielded it and made an out. Beyond the first 2 innings Tech played well. Thank goodness they played like undeniable bulldogs today.

Enough with the funky stuff.., please!
