Talking about pitching, it sure doesn’t seem like Tech has many at least not that Burroughs will actually put on the mound. So far I think I’ve seen the usual 3 starters and then about 3-4 more. So, I count roughly 7 who have actually gotten to play. Of those 7, 2-3 are at least somewhat questionable regarding their game be game effectiveness. To me that doesn’t seem like enough truly capable guys to get us through a long season much less into any postseason. If things play out like normal, like they did last year our primary arms will be worn out when it counts the most. According to the team roster there are 19 guys listed as pitchers, so I guess that means we’ve got 12 ‘so called’ pitchers who no one has confidence in enough to actually play them. Something is seriously wrong with all of this. So, if it’s all about pitching we’re in big trouble.

14 pitchers have made at least 1 appearance this year, and 9 have thrown 6+ innings. The only pitcher of those 14 to have not made multiple appearances is Tanner Knight.

Absolutely. Doesn’t take long to figure out when all you have to do is time it up.

He needs to do one of two things, although both would be even better: elevate the fastball and work a tight slider or curveball with some real depth off of it, or take a bit off the fastball and start cutting it.
