I had the chance to visit with Willis Reed at a friend’s dinner party 30-35 years ago. A very gracious man, and he had a lot of interesting stories about his time in the NBA.

Grambling was REALLY REALLY good at the NAIA level during the late 50's and early 60's - arguably the best program in the state regardless of level of play

Colorado State, after crushing Virginia, laid an egg vs. Texas. And McNeese ran into a red-hot shooting Gonzaga. One pundit had picked McNeese reaching the Sweet 16. Nope.
