Yeah he will -
Even though it was that bad - they still had over a 36% increase in home attendance at Tulsa this year through a 5 win season - that's how bad the situation was he was walking into there...
What did we experience in Hester's first year in home attendance - a 50% decrease?
''Don't be a bad dagh..."
About an 8% decrease on paper (2,704 to 2,493). Had to be close to a 50% decrease in warm bodies in seats, especially during the conference schedule.
Stewart was on the top of my list to be moving on. Disappeared on the bench for a long stretch, came out and had a stretch of games with significant minutes, and then didn't play much the last 4 games.
Hunter gone
Magnum gone
Willis gone
Williams rejoins Konkol in Tulsa
''Don't be a bad dagh..."
Only two? Of the top seven remains from the start of the season
''Don't be a bad dagh..."
Titanic.
This disaster is on Dr. Wood.
He made a terrible mistake. It’s time to own up to it.
Let’s see what the roster looks like after transfer portal. It’s isn’t like we lost a team that was any good… let’s just wait and see before we react.
Haven't we already seen that he can't coach or control what he has on the roster?
…another year of dwindling attendance. Fans haven’t had anything to feel good about since Mike White’s last choke.
I disagree -
He inherited a fairly talented team with Williams and Crawford with a decent supporting cast - a lot of them that he personally recruited
I firmly believe that if it wasn't for the players on this team voicing their support for him being named the head coach, he wouldn't of gotten the job
I don't think we hit double digit wins in 2024
Hope I'm wrong
''Don't be a bad dagh..."
Correct. Most of those leaving were players Hester recruited. Cobe Williams was a Hester recruit, now he is in Tulsa with Konkol.
Much like last time around when we hired a Basketball coach there is a disconnect between do we hire a coach to keep the players happy or hire a coach to build a program?
A lot of our fear on this board is that the AD hired a coach to keep players happy. That rarely works out.
