We also got the first home game, which I gather has been a sticking point in the past (and one I was always ok with Tech taking a firm line on). You never know what else will be going on that far out of course, but you'd expect more interest in the first game back than the second (although I imagine both will be bigger crowds than normal for both schools).

Cumbie will be in Year 8. We will have been calling for his firing for 8 years, but he'll have squeaked out 6-6 seasons. Somehow, he will beat ULM in the first game and receive another 4 year extension. In 2031, however, the luck will run out. ULM will beat us, and this is the impetus necessary to finally fire him to end our long nightmare.

At this point, we'll be a Sun Belt program, but this will not be a conference game. Let the reader understand.
