You forgot about Gordon and a lot of local businesses. In Baton Rouge, being affiliated with LSU athletics sells. Between Graves and McKernan, they are spending a fortune. NIL billboards all over town down here. Besides, LSU has figured out some way to have three of the highest NIL deal women athletes and they are signing their own deals with specific businesses, not the school NIL collectives. Until those other university alums decide to open their checkbooks in the same way, LSU is blazing a trail here. They are not just going after the best athletes. They are going after the ones that self-promote well and they are creating a revenue generating system that essentially allows them to pay a lot of their players. It doesn't matter whether they can keep up. They have created the current illusion that they are at the forefront and that builds upon itself. What they are doing works.
