Basketball: 9th out of 11
Baseball: 6th out of 10
WOMENS
Soccer: 4th out of 11
Basketball: 5th out of 11
Softball: 7th out of 11
Volleyball: 9th out of 11
Tennis: 5th out of 11
Was this the worst year athletically if all sports were averaged?
- No championships or even runners-up
- All men's sports in the bottom half of standings
- Women's sports were average or worse in conference
- Soccer is the only "bright" spot for women and they were above average in conference
Time for our current AD to start taking some blame. Yes, our former AD left things in a huge mess, but Wood was hired to do a job. He needs to show results.
Time for our current President to care about more than the Engineering department and building new stuff on campus with free money.
Tuition still going up...

FJ Taylor would not tolerate this. I can tell you that.
I saw FJ Taylor punch a ref in the mouth. Happened at a men's BB game, vs. USL. They brought their own refs...they didn't even try to hide their bias. After the game Taylor confronted the refs and one of them said something then kind of pushed Taylor away. He wasn't one to tolerate that. Bam! Surprised nothing came of it. Least not publicly. Matter might have been settled ($$$) behind closed doors.

I was there and saw the "incident" as well. A lot of people didn't see it and some have said it didn't happen. But, F.J. punched and connected after the strip shirt pushed him away!!!!! Those were the days. And especially basketball in Memorial Gym. Never be the same!!!!!
Hard to get excited about anything Tech related right now.
Cut my season tickets in football to four - that's down from a high of 10 a decade ago...

Totally agree Womens Sports out performed Mens Sports. Our Tennis team was nationally ranked as was our Bowling team. No disrespect to our soccer team. Mens Golf did perform well in CUSA Golf Tournament

Loyal to the noble trees but mainly the great memories, the new friends, those who represented the red and blue with blood sweat and tears, and not the least, those we loved and love.
