Our marketing is virtually non-existent. It mostly consists of tables at ball games handing out schedule posters. It was substantially better 15 years ago when we had some hard-charging Tech grads promoting athletics instead of outsiders who come in for a year or two. Unless you are an adherent to this board, read the news religiously, or listen to sports radio constantly, you likely don't hear anything about Tech sports. Those may reach the diehard fans, but not the vast majority of our potential fan base.

Checking out the roster just a few hours before the first game of the season - wow, there are a lot of newcomers on the roster. No freshmen and three graduate students. With so many unknowns, we could be in for a great season or continue to be mediocre at best. I plan to watch game 1 and hope I am impressed - in a positive way.

A Colorado State win would be a great start!
