    Baseball Tomkins Drafted by Pirates in 10th Round

    Louisiana Tech's Landon Tomkins learned of his baseball future Monday as the Bulldog was selected by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 10th round of the 2023 Major League Baseball draft.

    Congratulations Landon. I hope he continues to improve and makes a statement professionally. I think he can.

    Tech didn’t develop Tomkins like they should’ve but then Tech’s pitching coach and Burroughs haven’t developed any of their pitchers. Tomkins’ improvement came from his last summer work away from Tech.

    Tech doesn’t currently have a pitching coach.

    They have someone in that position that is not a pitching coach, and a head coach who is okay with that.

    We have a new Landon coming.

    LHP Landon Fontenot from Calvary in Shreveport announced that he is headed to Tech.
