Who is our radio PxP guy?
I haven’t heard anything about Dave and his son not tag teaming from the booth this season. Did you hear something?

Butler is a tested and proven Tech die-hard. I may be in the minority, but I appreciate his effort in the booth. We like to complain when coaches, AD’s, and athletes aren’t sold out to stay and grow at Tech. When our Play by Play guy is one of us, seems we don’t like it. Curious. Not saying people can’t have an opinion about his or anyone else’s ability, but the point remains…..do we want Tech people or not?
I want and we deserve great quality like we've had for many years. Don't tell me you are going to have a "national search" and hire the first guy that applied.
MB is okay, not good. He is indeed a die hard Tech fan.
FWIW, I've never complained when we lost a coach to a better offer. That's a good thing. We've NEVER lost an AD to a better offer. Athletes are a whole different thing and it's the part of "amateur" sports that sickens me.
Also, I've been told that Dave and his son will be doing the home games for sure. Have you ever heard MB attempt to do a baseball game?
Dave was not a "Tech person" when hired. Tech people should be the color people. P X P should be done be a professional, not a homer.
I can appreciate your perspective and respect your opinion. I have listened to MB call softball. Admittedly, it’s not great. I do like the Nitzer combo. Not sure we will ever have another play by play guy as good as Dave or even half that good. At least not for very long.
If every coach Tech has hired was as good at their jobs as Dave Nitz was at his, Tech Athletics would be a national juggernaut. The Nitzer was not just "good" at his job, he was among the very best in the nation. A real treasure, someone Tech Nation can point to, like Leon Barmore and a few others, and say "hey, we got that one right."
So, it is a certainty no matter who is hired to be the "voice of the Bulldogs" they will be a step down from the Nitzer. I suppose Alabama football is about to experience the same kind of thing. There can be only one GOAT.
For the home games and nearby games AD Wood rewarded Dave with broadcasting his 50th year. . . something he had requested and really desired.
Jay will help as much as he can.
Other out of town games will be done, I'm told, by Teddy Allen.

Teddy Allen is an absolute train wreck idea. I’d rather have Cramer (sp?).
Have known Mark Cramer a long time. I enjoyed him on the mic.

He seems like a nice guy and I agree that he is much better than Teddy on play by play.
Teddy is one of my favorite writers and color men. He is NOT a play by play guy, but our leaders (and Learfield) just don't care what the fans want and deserve.
Anybody know how we’ll be able to watch the games that aren’t on espn+, pac12+, or d1?
April 10 - 21 will be a tough stretch.
