We need a win today vs Maine to get back in the win column and have a winning record, now 2-2. Fell to Drake in Des Moines Friday 77-66 after leading by 12 in the second quarter and 7 in the third. Three Techsters in double figures, eight scored. Not seeing Amaya Brannon in our box scores, hope she's ok and back soon, we need her. Today's Maine game followed up playing Richmond (4-1) tomorrow. Three tests against competition similar to CUSA.

Seemed pretty well matched with Maine, just made too many mistakes and missed shots at the wrong times.
The Techsters won't finish at even .500 this season. Gonna get slaughtered in conference play and will take a losing record into CUSA play. The Stohrs need to be fired. They have been given ample opportunity to build a program and have failed. Next!
Hire a cheapazz high school coach, save the money, and forget about it.

I've been calling for both HC and hubby to be sacked for 3 years now, but continue to be told on this board that she runs a clean program and was an ex-Lady Techster, so no need to let her go. She will pad her win totals by playing Cheerleader U, etc and when any game that counts or is against an opponent that has an even or winning record, we will bomb like always. She may be a nice person, but she needed to be sacked a few years ago. Of course, we could just continue to let her stay for stupid reasons and allow what is left to wind down to nothing (if it isn't close to being that already). I did support Brooke for some of the reasons you mentioned, but as I have posted recently, it is time to let her and hubby go. No sense dealing with a buyout, if there is one, since we shouldn't spend one more penny than necessary. So, let her contract run out...no extensions, no raises, no nuttin', so allow the contract to expire than hire a high school coach for way less than $80K...more like maybe $55K.

Both Weatherspoon and the Stoehrs won 56%. Spoon got us to two NCAA tournaments, the Stoehrs to zero. Spoon's last two years were 14-17, 12-20. Stoehrs' went 14-16, 15-15 in one two year stretch. According to LaTech Sports their contract runs through the 25-26 season.
Why do we set up such long contracts? This is insane. I cannot chalk this up to mere incompetence.
Unless it's like a job interview where you joke that your desired salary is $1,000,000 and HR says "done."
This year is concerning. We're 2-4, with 5-1NLUlm who led Arkansas at half next. Then away at Vanderbilt and Arkansas. I'll be in Ruston cheering on our Ladies, but it's impossible not to be concerned about longer term expectations for the program.
When we have multiple losing seasons in a row then talk about changing coaches till then the conversation is not a relevant one.
ULM is a very athletic talented team I have been very impressed with their use of the transfer portal.
ULM could very well be a Top 20 team in the next few weeks. The ULM coach did a great job bringing back players she coached in JC to ULM. A great representation of the loyalty the players have with her and the staff she brought with her. She was also able to have her players talk to others that they had previous connections with into coming to ULM.
I am excited to see this game. I hope we see Brannon sooner than later. We need her presence inside on the boards.
