Sources: Conference USA is expected to add Delaware as a new member for the 2025-26 season. The sides have been in talks and a decision is expected to be formalized in the upcoming days.

Sigh.
Y'all know what's worse than being in a conference with 9 teams you don't care about?
Being in a conference with 10 teams you don't care about.
And inevitably, 11.
But hey, our share of NCAA credits will go down as will our portion of the CFP money (because of how division works). And travel costs will increase. So, there is that. And a nice GOR making sure that it costs more to leave (if we even had somewhere to go).
What bad news for a Monday!
More excited about this than the Kennisaw add. This is a pretty good add.great campus. Stadium needs work.
Bring on Tartleton State
''Don't be a bad dagh..."
In 2054, there will be two conferences: SEC (10 members, who play among themselves for a national championship) and CUSA (256 teams including several high schools).
Tech is still 3-9 each year.

I think Missouri State would be a great addition. Solid baseball and basketball.
Do we take distance or quality?
Tarleton State - 353 miles, 5h 20m from Tech (mostly interstate in DFW area / SW of Ft Worth)
Missouri State - 380 miles, 6h 40m from Tech (US 167/65 North / 45 minutes north of Branson)
Tarleton much closer to me here (shame you can't get Dublin Dr. Pepper anymore).
But it honestly just keeps coming back to my original question. What's worse than sharing a conference with 9 teams you don't really care about? Sharing a conference with 11 teams you don't really care about (and vice versa! I assume they all feel the same about us).
Why is CUSA hell bent on adding the worst possible candidates to an already horrible conference again? Misery loves company I guess. Why are they adding anyone?
