Iowa was 10-3 before their bowl. They would not have had a winning record playing in the SEC. B1G 1-4 against SEC so far. And this is a down year for SEC.
But Michigan may have an advantage on the LOS. We shall see.

Sloppy game at times, but the Rose Bowl was entertaining. Cherry on top is no Tide next week.
Washington won 37-31, so no SEC or future-SEC team will win the NC this year. That's a change.
BTW, Ewers was stupid on that last play. He had only to zip the ball straight to Mitchell, instead of trying that low-percentage and stupid fade and it would have been Texas playing next week. Of the four QBs who played in the semis yesterday, Penix was by far the most impressive.
Michigan vs. Washington for all the marbles. The PAC 12 is going out with a bang, especially if the Huskies can win next week.
UGA might be the best team in the country, but they lost to Bama when it mattered. To their credit, which we have already said, they didn't sit around and pout about it; just went out and won their next game...big!
Ohio State? Nah. They lost to Michigan and then followed that up laying an egg vs. Mizzou.
I MIGHT have agreed to slide FSU in over Bama, not that I ever thought they could actually beat Bama on the field, even at full strength. Just at 13-0 and a conference champion, given that had been the standard in prior years, I thought they should've gotten the nod. I knew FSU was the weakest of the 6 schools in the running for the 4 spots, but still thought they should've gotten in. After they crapped their panties, I am so glad the committee left them out.
Texas was always in, for me. A conference champion and a road win at Bama.
The NC game is interesting. Is Michigan's pass rush, which is very good, and their secondary good enough to stop (slow down) the Huskies' passing attack? And is Washington's defense good enough to keep Michigan from scoring a bunch?
Washington's QB, Michael Penix Jr, is incredible. That kid is NFL ready. Even though I really like this Jim Harbaugh coached Michigan team, I'm not sure the Wolverines can stop Washington right now. Let's just hope neither team chooses to "mail it in" this year the way TCU did last year. If not, this NC game should be one of the best in a very long time.
I think Washington’s OL is better than Alabama’s and their defense is underrated. And of course, they have Penix and those receivers.
I look for Washington to win.
Penix should of won the Heisman...
Daniels was good but I think he is slightly better
''Don't be a bad dagh..."
If you haven’t seen it, Google the video where someone flipped the screen on a bunch of Penix highlights. His throwing motion looks exactly like a right handed guy. Tons of zip and accuracy and can still drop it in over a defender. Dude is just flat out good.
