Up 53-49 with 7:30 left. Looks like we’re playing in junior high gym.

Missed a few free throws again. Missing open looks. Not getting offensive rebounds. Good teams do those 3 things well.
Can’t close
Last few shots just wont fall through the hoop.
If only games were 38 minutes long. We would have a lot more wins
Listening to these homer announcers is truly painful.
😴
Defeat from the jaws of victory again tonight
Hester still hasnt given us any reason to believe he is the guy
We have lost 2 road games in a row by close scores. OT IN Seattle. Went from o turnovers in Saint Louis to too many in this game. Like the last game we battled back took the lead, but could not hold on to win. I felt we had alot of unfair calls by the officials. I still like the chemistry of this team.
He definitely isn't an X and O guy
Reminds me of Dale Brown lite
Like I said the other day -
Staring a 0-3 road swing right in the face
The players can't shot FTs under pressure late in ball games when it matters most
Inbounds plays and breaking the press are still major issues and shortcomings
All opposing teams have to do is keep it close and press at the end and we fold like a cheap tent
''Don't be a bad dagh..."
Batcho needs to work on FTs. He was drawing them plenty at the end of the game, and couldn’t hit enough.
You could see how tired he was on some of those last FTs. I hope he can improve the offensive rebounding.
Daniel Batcho Career Stats - NCAAM - ESPN
His FTS has improved since last year, but could be 11-2 if he was at 70-75% (not blaming him for the losses - we wouldn't be in position without him).
I disagree with this for a few reasons. One, he has completely transformed the roster and improved it at every possible position in one off season. Second, he has recruited a highly rated class for next year of mostly HS players. Third, I think he has shown some growth as a HC in year two. Granted, it could only go one way from last season but I think we are seeing now how toxic the locker room was.
There have been some head scratching decisions made for sure and still plenty of room to grow in strategy and Xs and Os no doubt. Hopefully, we are learning from some from these close losses. I also think we still have a good bit of room to improve and grow as well. I am not liking the shorter rotation so far. Also, we went 15-18 last season, so 9-4 is not a bad start at all considering the roster turnover and the play we saw last year. It will be interesting to see how much we improve when the calendar turns, during conference season and how we finish the year. I'm looking forward to seeing it!
