I didn't watch the game, but FIU must have been playing mad today after the Tech beatdown. And it came at a good time for us as they beat Sam Houston 68 - 61 to leave Tech in 1st place in the conference. Let the pre-March Madness begin. And then (fingers crossed) on to the Big Dance.

We could win the conference by 3 games and not get in. We are in a one bid league. Thanks Judy! You are amazing.

I know we have to win the conference tournament to get to the Big Dance, but maybe this is the year. I think it might come down to the depth of the bench and conditioning since Tech plays such an energetic defense. Having to play so many games within a few days is always a concern. But.... ain't it exciting to think about the possibilities?

I suppose. Not long ago, I got excited about the potential of Football, MBB, and Baseball. Things have changed a lot over the past 10 years.

Things have definitely changed with Tech athletics since I was a student at Tech from 1978 to 1985. The TAC was built while I was there. I remember huge crowds at football games and basketball games.

    Re: Bring on the Jayhawks

10 years ago Holtz began playing not to lose. Many of our fans were content with going to bowl games but not winning the big games or CUSA championships. During that time we had an arrogant AD who thrived on fixing what wasn’t broken. The “crowds” we see at games today are a direct result that.

MBB kept us on the edge of our seats for a few years, but we could never get it done.

Baseball was finally becoming what it should have been after 12 years of horrible coaching. The last 10 have been enjoyable overall, but our current coach has under achieved since he arrived in pitching. This year will confirm that or not.

Starts with winning your home games. Crapped the bed tonight. Chavez didn’t play. ISO and Batcho fouled out. Jordan played really well. Oh well.

This team isn't making it past the conference tournament.

The recent 40-point win over FIU is most likely the highwater mark for this team. Gonna be downhill from here.

Kind a agree with you - can see them ending up with 5 or 6 conference losses because of the difficulty of this back stretch - trips to Lynchburg, El Paso, Bowling Green and Los Cruces are brutal

That's why last night was so so important
