Reliant Traffic Warning

Those coming to the Rice game should be aware of Hou. traffic problems. There is major construction taking place at the w610/US59 enterchange on the weekends. Stay away from this section of road.

Those coming from N.La. should consider the following route:

1. Coming into Hou. on US59, take HWY 288 to the S610 loop.

2. Turn right (west) onto 610 and stay in the right lane.

3. Exit 610 to Kirby Dr. just prior to the pedestrian bridge over 610. Exit to the right.

4. Turn right off of Kirby into the South Kirby lot (just a few hundred yds. from where you entered Kirby). TECH Tailgate is in this lot. You may be charged $15 to $30 to park here based on charges for Texan games.

Thanks for the tips!
I'm still hoping to go but understand our staff will be short-handed again this weekend. Lauren will be in California and I'll need someone to care for the animals if I leave town for two days.
The parking fee isn't encouraging! Maybe it won't be as high for a college game!

That is steep on the parking - don't think the game tickets were that high! Thanks for the instructions on getting around the mess!
