2nd - Luke has yet to complete is 3rd year of college ball so his NON-BCS total numbers are a bit skewed...

    Dwayne and other,
The one BIG thing that jumps out at me (other than the huge TD to INT ratio difference), is the difference in Yards per Att & Comp.

    Rattay: 8.21 Yards/Att McCown: 6.82 Yards/Att
    Difference of 1.59 per Att

    Rattay: 12.56 Yards/Comp McCown: 11.21 Yards/Comp
    Difference of 1.35 per Comp

Over the course of a game, the numbers add up and are Big numbers as we try to move the ball QUICKLY down the field to score quickly. Play calling? Timing? Receivers? Waht do you guys think?

YAC (yards after the catch) is the answer to most all of the questions except interception ratio. Edwards total yardage figures alone could skew Tim's numbers. And most of his yards were yards after the catch. How many times did he take a 3 yard catch for 20-30 yards? I might not live long enough to see another talent like that on this campus.

I think DFM has a very good point about the 2 years of maturing and learning that Tim had that Luke has not. This is a big factor. It might be the answer to the interception ration question.

Tim had Troy Edwards, James Jordan, Josh Bradley and Sean Cangelosi - that is the difference in yards per attempt and yards per completion

Tim also played LATE in alot of ballgames against inferior opponents where he would have 4, 5 & 6 TD's against one interception and the score would be 60-14 late in the 3rd quarter before Crowton would pull him during his first two years - look at his numbers in 1999 when JBIII became HC - his per game numbers dropped because Jack doesn't believe in running up the score...

I think the numbers support these assumptions...
