Thanks, nice article.
If the Owls are "not real fond" of us now, just think how they'll feel about 10:30 on Saturday.
Really looking forward to seeing the Bulldogs play in Reliant.
>>>>>"There will always be only one first college game in (Reliant) stadium, and that's special," Rice coach Ken Hatfield said. "The stadium, being state-of-the-art like it is, for a lot of people will be their first chance to see it. It's a grand opportunity."
The game against Louisiana Tech at Reliant Stadium will give Rice a chance to avenge last season's most bitter loss... "That game kind of stuck in our minds," Rice senior defensive end Brandon Green said. "It's a team that is a lot like Fresno in that we're not real fond of them. That memory from last year still stands in our mind." <<<<<
It would be nice to see the annual Rice football media guides always state that the Owls' first game in Reliant Stadium was a loss to Louisiana Tech University. Think about all the Texas recruits who will get a copy of their annual media guide & see this when they are looking for the Big-time teams Rice brought to Reliant.
As far as DE Brandon Green's comments about not being fond of LA Tech (like Fresno State)- thanks for that little extra motivation to BEAT THE HELL OUTTA RICE!

To quote from the article:
"The Owls missed a field goal at the end of regulation that would have won the game."
Best I remember, that's what happened. Then Tech won in OT.

Actually, Rice didn't "miss" the 42 yard field goal attempt. It was blocked by Michael John Lenard.
