My wife and I are making our first trip to your state and we are really looking forward to it.

The LaTech fans/parents we met last year here in Reno were very nice. We will be flying into Jackson, Miss. and driving over to the game with #14's parents. Any travel tips for us?

Should be one heck of a game, see you saturday!

    Pack66Dad,

Welcome to BB&B. You should have no problems traveling to the game from Jackson. Just follow I-20 west for about 2 or 2-1/2 hours until you reach Exit 84. And then head south (left) over I-20 onto Cooktown Road (which soon changes to Tech Drive). The stadium is on your right as you come over the hill. Ruston is not a large place. Should be pretty easy to find.

A lot of fans seem wait until the last hour or so to park and get into the game. If you can, try to get there before that to avoid some of the traffic.

Thanks for visiting BB&B and have a safe trip.

Welcome aboard Pack66Dad. I live in Jackson. The airport is located about one to two miles north of Interstate 20, which you will take to Ruston (i.e., I-20 west). Ruston is about 2 1/2 hours from Jackson. Depending on your arrival date and time, you can stop in Vicksburg, MS, located about 35 miles west of Jackson, located on the MS River. There are numerous sites (e.g., civil war battle grounds, casinos, outlet mall, bed & breakfast, etc.) to visit. Downtown Vicksburg is nice with some good restaurants. Since you reside in Nevada, you may have had your fill of casinos. Anyway, have a safe trip.

Welcome, Pack66dad. Try to get to the stadium with a couple of hours to spare and spend some time visiting with the Tech folks. We have a 'Tailgate Alley' setup between the Football Stadium and the BasketBall Arena, and usually have some good food prepared. Our motor home will be parked between the stadium and arena also, and would love to have you folks stop by to visit and enjoy some Louisiana hospitality. Be sure to come by and say hello.

It will be my wife and I, and #14's parents (if that is allright).

I gave my welcome under the "Bicknell must go" thread. Not a very appropriate place, but saw your post there. Welcome again!
