    what so many people do not realize about the "tiers" talked about in US News & World Report -- the system includes the amount of endowments that a university has -- of course we do not have the endowments that smu has -- quality of education is not the only factor -- i agree -- let them go indepdendt

    I'd say the SEC is a GREAT deal for Vandy.

    They sat at home last year and drew a 9 million dollar check from the SEC office for their share of bowl payouts.

    Add their game revenues in FB and BB and they're better off there than in ANY other conference....... bar none.

    Actually Tech, ULL and possible UNO are suppose to move up a tier in the next couple of years. We just have to wait on LSU to move up a tier because we can not be the same tier as the "flagship".
