That's a first - it must be awfully blatant if the ball skips on the turf and everybody BUT the refs notice! Oh well, looks like we got past it just fine.Originally Posted by EJ

I am worried. Nevada is setting us up with all these short passes and runs.
Look for a long pass soon.
50-41 now, Tech still leading.
Josh is not having a good day kicking. He has missed two extra points (one was a long one because of a penalty) and a field goal.
I would still count on him if the game was on the line!
I had to go to town for a few minutes and the score has gone from 34-30 to 50-41. Some offensive shootout.
13th penalty against Tech. Defensive holding. 6 Nevada first downs by penalty. Ridiculous.
This is wild. Hopefully we'll recover the onside kick!
Can't believe Joe fumbled. Worked out ok though. We needed this win in the worst way. Go dogs.
Way to go Dawgs.
Winning is Great. Little concerned about giving up 47 points but we stopped them when we had to.
I have a lot of praise for Tech's defense today. First, they were up against a very, very good offense, with a very, very good running back. Their receivers had sticky fingers, even when they were stuck. However, the defense stopped Nevada several times tonight, only to be revived by the zebras(ses). We stopped them a few times inside the ten yard line on three plays, and once on four plays, inside the ten. However, there is no way to stop them six times, which is what Tech had to do on at least two occasions in which we stopped Nevada on third down, only to get a penalty giving Nevada a first down.
We stopped em at the most important time of the game. Nevada had first and goal at the 3 and couldn't punch it in. Our defense made a stand when we had to have it.
That was a great stand, but somehow it came out funny when Dave was talking about the great defensive battle at that point with the two teams scoring nearly 100 points! But, alas, they did it when it really counted.Originally Posted by ARKDAWG02
I think Dave was caught up in the moment. It's funny how some things never change. Dave still sounds the same now as he did 25 years ago. You gotta love it!!!
