Remember Tech is a 1-A school with aspirations to win the conference each year.

I think this talk of a new head coach is a waste of key strokes. It's not going to happen any time soon. Those who are clamoring for Bicknell's head are not going to get their wish. He's not going to be fired one year after winning the WAC title.

I strongly agree that all the negative posts concerning the team, coaches needing to be fired, etc., etc. have a detrimental effect on recruiting. Kids are very internet saavy these days and we don't know how many potential prospects are perusing this site. The recruiting season is really heating up and is in full swing. We need everyone to keep that in mind before going on any bashing tirades. Another solid recruiting class will only help get us closer to where need to be. Stay positive Dawgs!

Our head coach is locked up for the next 4 years. That should help us b/c he is a great recruiter and recruits should know that he will be here for their college careers.

That is big to a kid, especially when several schools are after them. And, you know the competing schools will make sure the prospects know if there is any coaching changes in the wind. Thsi "negative recruiting" tactic goes on all the time. Kids like stability.

I'm against this type of hire -

I would rather roll the dice on an up and coming young gun with no ties to TECH than deliberately seek someone out because of thier ties to TECH...

i agree, but it is good to have ties to louisiana/texas because of recruiting.
