    16. Bowling Green (8-0)
    17. Florida (6-3)
    18. Florida State (6-3)
    19. Penn State (6-3)
    20. Colorado State (8-2)
    21. Colorado (6-3)
    22. Iowa State (7-3)
    23. Pittsburgh (7-2)
    24. Arizona State (7-3)
    25. Maryland (7-2)

Does anyone in America (outside of Bowling Green) truly believe that Bowling Green would have a snowballs chance in Hell of even playing close with Florida, Florida State, Penn State, etc.?

I hope I live to see a playoff system.

    A few thoughts:

    1. Pollsters often "reward" non-bcs teams for a perfect record.
    2. It's college football for petesake! You NEVER EVER KNOW!
    3. Polls should just be for fun anyway. A lot of fans quit taking this crap seriously long ago.
    4. PLAYOFFS NOW!!!!

I agree that you can't take the polls seriously, but until we have playoffs that is all we got.

Hey, why am I a puppy again?

At least we don't have to worry about Marshall creeping back in the Top 25 again. Two MAC teams in the Top25 is more than I can take.

Bowling Green is undefeated. If we were undefeated, you would expect us to be in the top 25 as well. You are sounding like a BCS elitist, which is what we are fighting against.

Bowling Green in the top 25 is GOOD for us. I'm sure when we cracked the top 25, they were saying the same thing about us. We are brainwashed by the BCS trailer trash.

I am now a Bowling Green fan for this season. Obviously, they DO have a decent football team.

Two years ago Toledo destroyed Penn State, 24-6, I think it was, one week before our 7-67 debacle. The MAC can be tough.

Bowling Green is a tough football team, very capable of holding its own against any team, BCS or not, not named Oklahoma, Miami, Ohio State, and a few others.... BGSU would go no worse than .500 playing those teams currently ranked between 18-25.

If we were undefeated with the schedule we've played we would be ranked in the top 15. People would be talking about us as a non BCS gate crasher. More power to Bowling Green. I hope they run the table. I thought this might be the year we had enough undefeated teams to really screw up the BCS but I expect everything is going to work out after this past week end.

Everybody seems to think the MAC is nothing but a bunch of cream puffs. Let me tell ya'll something, they have pulled their share of upsets over BCS teams. Somebody just mentioned on here Toledo beating up on Penn State. Also, just this year Miami University beat North Carolina, lost by five to 9-1 Iowa, and played LSU pretty tough for a little while. Northern Illinois beat Wake Forest. Bowling Green beat Kansas and Missouri this year. Kansas ain't worth a dern, but Missouri is no pushover. Central Florida is nothing to laugh at either, they've beaten Alabama just like ya'll have. I'll give you one thing though, Marshall is a fake. They are all show and no go when it comes to being BCS giantkillers. I fail to understand why they are the darlings of ESPN.

Yes Champ, it is time for a playoff. Just be patient. One day, the BCS will hack off the wrong team in the wrong conference, and the whole corrupted system will collapse like a house of cards. If I were a betting man, I'd say it will be the year when the undefeated SEC champion and undefeated Notre Dame get simultaneously screwed out of the title game. But I don't know if it will happen exactly like that. I could be way off.

The MAC is a joke. Central Florida didn't want it. It was all they could get. Yes they ususally have a couple of teams with good records. What do you expect with such an easy schedule? Sorry Jet, but Kansas, Missouri is about as easy as it gets for a BCS OOC schedule. To say that TECH would also be ranked (if undefeated) is not a good argument. There is no way that TECH could EVER have a schedule this easy so we will never know. If we were undefeated with this year's schedule we would be in the Top 10.

A playoff would be nice, but I'm all for BG being ranked. Did anyone outside of Ruston think we could stay close to Bama in 99? Did anyone think Fresno could hang with all those teams they beat last year? Did anyone think Louisville could beat Florida State? I would rather see an undefeated non-BCS team ranked (no matter what their schedule looks like) than some BCS team in there based simply on their name.

O.K., I understand the Rudy appeal. But this schedule is ridiculous!

    186. Tennessee Tech
    53. Missouri (terrible this year)
    120. Kansas (not Basketball)
    116. Ohio (not State)
    100. Central Michigan
    102. Western Michigan
    103. Ball State
    130. Kent State
    60. Northern Illinois
    52. South Florida
    160. Eastern Michigan
    61. Toledo

The average Sagarin Ranking of the powerhouses they have beat thus far is 113.75 (AA Appalachian St. is currently ranked 113)!

There's your flaw, you read that sagarin crap and the like. The computer rankings are the sole problem with the BCS system. They all suck, and it is way too weighted toward them. They are the reason for the last two NC Games, and the reason it is a mess right now this year. I say, cheer for Bowling Green. Cheer for a undefeated Tulane team. Support someone other than the same programs the media throws at you every year. Go Iowa, Go Boise St., Go Bowling Green, Go Washington St., Go N.C. State and Iowa St. Maybe next year it'll be our turn......

    I don't think they're the sole problem.

I’ll take a statistical modeled ranking system over biased vote-for-your-own-conference coaches any day. And we already know the AP consistently gets facts wrong unless they are covering Notre Dame.

    According to the “Sagarin Crap”:
    29. Boise State (sole loss to a decent Arkansas team)
    37. Bowling Green (even Nebraska beat Missouri)

The computers are the only thing that come close to making the BCS system half-ass make sense.

I know this horse has been dead and buried for a while now . . . but it’s a little slow around here lately.

They actually beat Ohio University worst than Florida if I'm not mistaken.
