No defensive improvement where it counts...scoring defense

For all of the talk of defensive improvement this year, the scoring defense average is actually up to 35.7 per game over last year's 32.5. Only one team--Tulsa--has been held under 31 points.

What's worse is the comparison of what Tech is allowing to what those opponents are scoring against the rest of their schedules. Again Tech has given up more points to everyone except Tulsa than those teams average when not playing Tech.

With the same lack of defensive production next week against Boise State that happened in the last 2 1/2 quarters against San Jose State, the score could easily be similar to what Boise hung on Fresno State.

They didn't have their own scores updated on their Web site, but it was predictable that we might have a tough time at their place.
The fact is that the WAC isn't as bad overall as we had hoped this year! We simply have to get bettah whatever it takes!
