Anyone know if we signed anyone today? I haven't heard a thing.
Anyone know if we signed anyone today? I haven't heard a thing.
I have been looking for info all day. The only news I got was from nlu board on delphi. They said we signed 2 parade all americans?
I believe we signed Milsap from Grambling today. Awesome player!
Sure hope that's the case. We had to get him.
The Leader reports that we will sign Soloman Brown jc point guard from calif. We are due to sign Milsap tomorrow.
Brown is NOT a juco..he's a transfer who played one year at Iona. He is not playing this year and will have 3 years to play starting next fall.
He wanted to play for Forbes so bad he would have probably committed without an official visit. After the visit there was no question.
Maybe we should feed all incoming recruits tailgate food.....
We feed some incoming recruits (non-athletic) some tailgate food all the time. It seems to work for them as well.
BUt for some reason he just wouldn't try any of the boudin...
However he did like the loin, sausage, chicken and hotdogs...
I'm just glad that BB&B played a little role in helping to land a recruit...
Will Brown be elligible to play next year?
Be careful... He is a TRANSFER, not a recruit. You are going to get us in trouble like that!Originally Posted by Dwayne From Minden
Clarification:The Bulldogs, who have five scholarships available, are also expected to sign Solomon Brown, a guard at Cypress (Calif.) College.
Brown is on the roster at Cypres CC but has no played in any of their games. Both he and his AAU coach told me that he was just sitting this year out to have 3 years left to play D1 ball. Unless his mind has changed since visiting Tech, he's not playing this year.
Ahh. Thanks for the clarification.
So he will spend this year at the community college and then he will be a sophomore for us next year? That is great news.
Brown transferred following his freshman year at Iona College to Cypress College in California. Brown is not playing basketball this season and will have three years of NCAA eligibility beginning next year.
