    Boise:
Boise, Idaho -- The Boise State men's basketball team rolled up 62 second half points en route to a 94-84 exhibition win over the Australian Institute of Sport Wednesday night at the BSU Pavilion.

Junior college transfer Aaron Haynes scored a game-high 22 points, 13 coming in a sluggish first half for the Broncos. Junior guard Bryan Defares added 21 points, 17 in the second half, and a game-high seven assists for the Broncos.

Sophomore forward Jason Ellis had a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds, while junior walk-on Cory Ortiz added 13 points off the bench. Kenney Gainous scored 10 points on 5-of-6 shooting.

this is the team we held to 36 points last year, they should be better but still have no inside prescense. Expect a lot of 3's again

    Fresno:

Gets 98-77 Win Over Central Valley All-Stars
Noel Felix, a returning starter, poured in 23 points to lead all scorers. Not far behind him was newcomer Jonathan Woods, who posted 22, including 18 in the first half when he was 8-of-8 from the floor. Woods and Felix combined to make 19 of their 23 shots on the night.

Also performing well was Damon Jackson, who had a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds to go along with five assists. Hiram Fuller added 16 points and five boards as Fresno State outrebounded the Central Valley All-Stars 50-35.

The Bulldogs shot 52 percent in the contest compared to just 39 percent by the All-Stars

The JUCO point guard they brought in had 10 assists but 7 turnovers. Bruce should eat him alive

    Hawaii:

HONOLULU - Carl English and Phil Martin combined to score 45 points but it wasn't enough as the University of Hawai'i men's basketball team fell in an exhibition game to the EA Sports West All-Stars, 73-72, Sunday, at the Stan Sheriff Center.

    Shot 46% for the game.

After English and Martin the other 3 starters combined for 11. They will miss Savo and McEntire more than they hoped they would.

    Nevada:
RENO, Nev. - Sophomore Kirk Snyder and senior Jerry Petty eached scored 17 points as Nevada posted an 89-60 exhibition win over EA Sports West All Stars on Thursday night at Lawlor Events Center.

On the night, Nevada shot 48 percent (32-of-66) from the field and 50 percent (eight-of-16) from beyond the 3-point arc.

5 players in double figures. Their top two returing scorers were not. One had 9 and one DNP. This team is dangerous

    Rice:
With a second-half surge that included 60 points on 64.9 percent shooting, and an impressive individual scoring display by sophomore Jason McKrieth, the Rice University men's basketball team claimed a 103-90 exhibition win over Team Nike Thursday night in Autry Court.

Five Owls finished with 10 or more points as senior Omar-Seli Mance added 13, junior Yamar Diene had 11 and true freshman Jamaal Moore scored 10 points in 14 minutes.

could upset a good team at home. hope it's not us

    San Jose:

San Jose—Eric Walton led the Spartan men’s basketball team with 22 points to lead the San Jose State men’s basketball team to an 89-81 victory over the GearHog All-Stars at Spartan Gym Saturday afternoon.

Oudie Baker had a double-double with 20 points and 16 rebounds. Keith Leverage came off the bench for a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Antonio Lawrence added 10 points off the bench.

The Spartans shot 43.8 percent from the field and 33 percent from the three-point line. Brandon Hawkins had nine points and fie assists. Lawrence added a team-high four steals in the game.

has a couple good guard but only 2 players on roster over 6'6

    SMU:
    Four Mustangs Reach Double Figures
DALLAS (SMU) - The SMU Men's Basketball team rolled past Slovakia Select, 99-66, to open its 2002-03 preseason slate as four Mustangs reached double figures.

Justin Isham led SMU with 15 points on 7-of-10 shooting highlighted by five dunks. Brian Miller tallied 14 points, five rebounds and six assists, with Quinton Ross and Kris Lowe adding 12 points a piece. Patrick Simpson recorded 10 rebounds while freshman sensation Bryan Hopkins had nine points and eight assists.

Shot 53% for game but went 5-23 from 3.

another scary team to face. Isham is Marco Cole cloned.

    UTEP:
Oleksandr Rayevskyy scored a game-high 24 points, and MBC Nikolaev outscored UTEP 10-2 in the final 3:26 to beat the Miners, 66-62, in an exhibition game on Saturday night at the Don Haskins Center.

Smallwood led the Miners with 20 points. Mattear added 13 points and 20 rebounds.

The Miners shot 43 percent and outrebounded MBC Nikolaev 43-33. But the Ukrainian team took nine more foul shots, making six more than UTEP.

Mattear has a good chance to lead the league in rebounding this year

    Tulsa:
Tulsa, Okla. - Tulsa seniors Dante Swanson and Kevin Johnson led the Hurricane in exhibition play to a win over the Dominican Republic National Team, 101-72, in front of 7,193 fans at the Donald W. Reynolds Center.

Swanson led the Hurricane in scoring and steals with 18 points, including two treys, and five steals. He was second in assists with six, only trailing junior Jason Parker by one. Johnson added 15 points and was 7-of-12 from the field. Antonio Reed added 14 points, followed by Parker, Jarius Glenn and Marqus Ledoux with 11 points each.

they should be top 25 preseason. If you put Tiger and Zach on that team = you would make a final four run.

I know it's just exhibition games but Hawaii lost to a team that Nevada beat by 29. And the Pack did it without Terrance Green, their leading scorer from a year ago who was suspended.
