I watched the game tonight and then watched my tape of the game before posting this. Note: This is an observation, NOT criticism of our team.

It is clear to me that we can move from a "good team" to a "GREAT TEAM" if we work on ball protection- (i.e. simply complete our passes!). Numerous Louisiana Tech turnovers gave #7 Florida their big halftime lead. We committed a whopping 14 turnovers which led to 22 points for Florida! Florida committed just 7 turnovers, which led to 3 points for Tech. As Dick Vitale stated, that was the difference in the game.

The halftime score was Florida 40 - LA Tech 26. If you take away all 1st half points scored off turnovers the intermission score would have been LA Tech 23 - Florida 18.

We were much more relaxed & did a better job in the 2nd half of protecting the ball. There weren't a lot of our guard passes to "nobody" in the lane in the 2nd half. The 2nd half scoring was Florida 36 - LA Tech 29. For the game, if all points off turnovers are eliminated & everything else remains the same, #7 Florida wins this game by only 3 points.

    When we can consistently:
    1. commit less turnovers than our opponents -AND-
    2. hold our opponents under 70 points

Louisiana Tech will become a Top 20 ranked basketball team. There is no doubt in my mind about this.
