    SMU came back from a 28-43 half time deficit to beat San Diego in overtime tonight and notch their 5th win of the season. The box score is at http://sports.yahoo.com/ncaab/scores...02/sadsav.html

    Tech fans get ready for SMU's outstanding guard combo of Bryan Hopkins (19 pts tonight) and Quentin Ross (20 points and 13 rebounds tonight).

    Simpson is their big rebounder inside (18 pts and 10 rebounds).

    We'll need our "A-game" against these guys on Saturday.

    Here's another mild surprise:

    The Rice Owls blew a 14-point second-half lead, but held Nevada scoreless the last 2:03 and pulled out a 78-75 victory Thursday night.


    Nevada and Tulsa match up this weekend with one of the teams expected to be in the top 4 in the league going to start out 0-2.
