Y'all want some good news for a change? Dave Nitz returned a call to me this morning from San Jose to talk about some stuff. During the course of the conversation I asked him about his employment status.
He said everything is looking up. He has been hired to do play-by-play for the new Shreveport baseball team. He said that will allow him to continue to do all the Tech games.

I visited with Dave for a while in Nashville at the Winter Meetings in mid-December. Dave told me then that he had taken the Shreveport job and everything was going to be ok with his employment at Tech for the time being.
He had some very interesting things to say about current situations.
He is the true ultimate warrior is all I will say on the situation.

Champs gives over 600K to Tech every year. Dave should be able to graw a 30,000 salary from Tech.
Shame on Oakes for not making him a full time employee.
I do not think our administrators know what assets we do have are the most valuable :-(
