    AP Recap
EAST RUTHERFORD, New Jersey (Ticker) -- Barbara Turner and Willnett Crockett combined for 25 points off the bench as No. 2 Connecticut edged Seton Hall, 53-48, for their 54th straight victory.

The Huskies (15-0, 3-0) are tied with the 1980-82 Louisiana Tech team for the most consecutive wins in women's basketball history.

Jessica Moore had 10 points and four blocked shots for Connecticut, which could break the all-time record with a win on Saturday against Georgetown.

All-American Diana Taurasi was held to six points for the Huskies, who shot just 23 percent (7-for-30) in the first half but led by five.

Monica Johnson scored 11 points to lead the Pirates (8-5, 2-1), who missed 12-of-15 shots from 3-point range.

There was a HUGE front Sports page story in the USA Today on Wednesday with pictures of Janice Lawrence and the Techsters. Interviews with Barmore and Mulkey all in the article.

Great coverage, although I hate for the record to be broken. It is great being on the road and reading about the Techsters in USA every day. Yes, there was mention of them several times today as well.

As for UConn, they are BARELY making it. One more left to beat the record.
