Techsters move up to #7

AP poll just came out and we are at #7.

Big move for us at this point in the season. If we can win out and I think we can, there's a good chance we could move into the top 5 by the end of the season. Would be interesting to see what seed we'd be in the tournament.

Assuming we win out, my guess would be a 3-seed, even if we are ranked #5 by the end.

Due to our RPI, we are a #3 seed at best by the end. That is IF we can win out. I worry about our road trip ahead and the tournament. Rice at home is going to be a test and we will most likely have to meet some hot teams that have come very close to beatting us at Tulsa in the tournament.

We may have put ourselves into a shot at a 3 seed if we don't lose again. No way we get seeded a #2. Our RPI is around 18 -- and that's not a good sign. The committee almost never moves us up two slots from our RPI. We might get a 4 seed since we're hosting anyway, but I'd be surprised by a 3 -- unless some of the competition takes a tumble.

Jerry Palm is projecting us at #3, and he usually is pretty close -- so we may have a shot at that -- but a top 5 ranking means nothing to this committee.
