I'm excited about football and the potential of our WBB team for 24-25.
Can't wait for our 4-8 record with a "lot of competitive losses" in football. Culminating with the Head Coach having another meltdown and blaming the Tech fans/biggest promoters/media for their losing.
Then onto a rousing season of basketball where our Women go 14-17 losing the second game of the tournament and our Men play Mississippi Women's College 5 times so it looks like they have a winning schedule and get bounced in the first round of the C-USA tournament by a sorry team from the middle of nowhere.
We can cap that off with another LB masterclass season of no pitching and streaky hitting and fail to make regionals yet again.
Rinse and repeat.

As for the rest, you nailed it.
I agree, I am excited to see our football team take on the WBB in 24-25. It will be closer than outsiders think, but the few of us that watch both teams know how it will go down. Football will score first, then stop doing what worked for most of the rest of the game, the ladies will start slow and put together a run at the end of 2nd and all of the 3rd... people will start talking about have they have turned the corner and look like they have a shot... then football will start doing what they did on the first drive and squeak out the win.
LB will be the guest in the booth during halftime letting everyone know all the BSB games are sold out, and that he really likes all the portal transfers that he picked up.
The cynicism level on this board has reached new heights! Well done indeed.
Is 24-25 the number of expected WBB losses or the expected Cumbie loss streak?
Combined total # of wins between football, baseball, and WBB next year. Can't throw MBB in there because they will run the NAIA/DII gauntlet like a beast to start the season... don't want to skew the numbers...
I’m not sure Cumbie hasn’t already folded for the season. No media for Spring Training means no fan updates. Since his tantrum with Tech’s biggest promoter last year he’s become sealed off.
My guess is he sees the writing on the wall.
His cheerleader president is gone.
His supporter AD is gone.
Cumbie knows the seat is hot already, and I’m not sure he can do anything this year to cool it down.
Lots of golf on Saturdays this fall...
