    LAKE CHARLES, La. – Louisiana Tech returns to the baseball field on Tuesday night when the Bulldogs (3-2) travel to take on McNeese State (5-3) at 7:00 p.m.

    The Bulldogs won their first three games of the season before dropping a pair of game to Ole Miss on Sunday by scores of 3-2 and 18-5 in very chilly temperatures.

    Tech has a series record of 61-37 against McNeese State but the two teams have not played since the 1999 season when the Cowboys took all three meetings with Tech.

    The game will be broadcast on KNBB-FM (99.3) in Ruston and can be listened to on the Internet at www.z1075fm.com.

    McNeese State comes into the came having already hit 13 home runs on the season while scoring 73 runs.

    Tim Lemke leads the Cowboys with four home runs and 13 RBI and a .438 average.

    Tech is hitting .293 as a team and has stolen 15 bases in 21 attempts. John

    Brandon is Tech’s leading hitter with a .429 average with two home runs and seven RBI.

    Tech returns home on Friday to open at three game series with nationally ranked Nebraska at 6 p.m.

    Tech Baseball Radio Schedule Begins on Tuesday

    RUSTON, La. - The 41-game radio broadcast schedule for Louisiana Tech baseball begins on Tuesday when Tech pays a visit to McNeese State in Lake Charles.

    Tech Director of Broadcasting Dave Nitz will provide the play by play for the majority of the games.

    The games will also be available on the Internet at www.z1075fm.com as long as there is not a scheduling conflict with men or women's basketball

    The games will be carried on B-99.3 (KNBB) in Ruston.

    Well, we got hammered by McNeese. It appears we just don't have the pitching to get a bunch of wins this year. The hitting and defense haven't been great, either, but those are usually more easily corrected than pitching. We'll hope some pitchers step up and start getting people out.

    My request: Please go out and support the team no matter what their record is. They are working hard to be the team which gets the ball rolling in the right direction again. So let's support them for their attitude and effort, despite what the scores in the games are.

    This rebuilding job will not be accomplished overnight. We really haven't been very good since the Gravy days.
