DON-Ralph Davis suffered a severe gash across his knee about a week prior to the start of spring training when he fell into the pole vault standards up on the defensive practice field while working out. He will be fine in a couple of weeks but is not participating at this time. The deep cut required double-digit stitches. Allyn Sloan has been moved to LB.

I guess not much can be said until we have a couple of scrimmages, which I don't know if we have but some things I'd like to know on top of what has already been posted.

How have the young RS FR LBs looked so far? Ike, Hollis, Alexander

Who is currently running 1st team in whole defensive backfield? I assume- Brazil and Wishom at CB and MJohnson and (hopefully) OWilliams at Safeties. And is Dez Abrams showing anything?

GOOD-you are right--will have to see Santiago, Hollins, Ike, Alexander, &, don't forget, Jeremy Hamilton under fire before we can make any evaluations. All are very quick & run to the ball very well. Dez Abrams is getting a try @ safety this spring-smarts & athleticism are two of his biggest assets. Starting safeties at the moment are the Johnson boys but, like yourself, I expect Williams to make a run at the safety spot. Brazil & Delong Williams are the starting corners right now with Wishom pushing hard. This is a spot where the coaches think Hiram Eugene can help right away.

I can't name 'em all Good, but the ones you would expect plus a couple. I learned something interesting this year about Pro Day. The Pros get the 40 time off of artificial turf. We don't have any artificial strips for the guys to run on. They do deduct a percentage of the time if the guys run on natural grass, but it could be a big disadvantage to them if the grass were wet, which as you know, is not uncommon in here. I have no idea of the cost of a forty plus yard strip of artificial turf, but that may be a project for BBB to consider. It would be greatly appreciated by some of the guys I'm sure.
