Oh, those bases on balls

Check out this link to Tech baseball stats. It tells you a lot about why we aren't a real good team... too many walks. We've walked 129 batters in 222 innings, while we received only 80 walks from the opposition. That is a huge difference. Overall I'm pleased with the way the team competes under Wade, but the walks have killed us. Lately we've been much better. Let's hope it continues.

In game 3 of FSU series we walked 9 hitters.
In game 2 where we had a big lead going into last inning we walk 2 batters and then give up a grand slam to lose in bottom of 9th.

I am not sure the walks are the only reason we are losing but it certianly is not helping.

We outhit FSU in games 2 and 3 but scored fewer runs and of course left more men on base. We were out hit 13-12 by Fresno in game one. We don't seem to be getting the timely hits with runners on that you need to score and win.
