Kellie Harper was fired today after going 108-52. One of the reasons stated that she didn't advance past the sweet 16. We keep our WBB coach and hubby and they can't even smell the NCAA tournament!! Never made it to the tournament under her leadership! No one can say the program is better off with her and hubby here, but we continue to keep 'em! Even the Washington Post article about Mulkey mentioned the Lady Techsters drought. Very very sad!
Can we go get her? Please!
Thought the same thing when I saw the article on ESPN.. that said my second thought was even as "underperforming" as she was, she would be out of our price range, never hurts to ask though, worst thing that can happen is she says no.
Could this make it easier for Tech to "justify" firing Brooke and Scott Stoehr? With the rush of players to the portal, now is probably a good time to basically start from ground zero and rebuild the program.
Besides the cost, why would we want a coach with that record from an SEC school that has all the resources it needs to build a contender. A decent, but not great, coach in the SEC at a program like Tennessee is a disaster as a coach for us. Brooke would probably have Tennessee in the Final Four with that recruiting advantage.Originally Posted by techman05
