I'm not getting on FM country radio listeners -

I'm getting on those AM whiners who are still expecting Elvis or Hank Sr to make an appearance at the Hayride again -

With about 10 country stations in the market, the last thing we needed was another one - especially one that replaced Fox Sports Radio...

There are only so many "vagrant" or "loose" livestock reports that I can handle during a traffic update -

BTW, I think Waylon Jennings is only surpassed by Johnny Cash...

Just a note, Tim Hendrix in Monroe moved his show to the fm dial (103.1) and on 1440am, Gene Ponti moved in with "the locker room". The deal about "the locker room" is that, there will be 3-4 host on per day. Lee Fletcher being one of the main ones. Sounds like it has great possiblities. With a format like that, maybe it won't get too one sided. Ponti and Fletcher will offset each other. Both of these are 5pm shows, fighting agaist one another.

I have never owned a radio that could actually be tuned into a country radio station.

Do they make such an thing? And if so who in the world would buy it?

Before we entirely get off the theme of this thread--let me just say that I am not entirely a big fan of country music matter of fact don't own but one cd and that's the mavericks....however I enjoy jazz-blues and R & B.....now with that said I remind you of the old fisherman who just won the world's fishing championship--they asked him what his favorite bait was and he said -- worms--then he said "personally I don't like the flavor of worms" so I tried fishing with steak-----didn't catch a thing! Moral is that country may not be my favorite but it seems to be extremely popular and has been for ages......that makes advertisers happy and that's what I'm here for to help businesses succeed by bringing in the listeners of the most popular music format---that said we also have a "lite rock" fm--B-99.3 an am that programs gospel and urban blues and R &B...and within 30 days we'll have the oldies station the Peach in our group...........now back to the original purpose of this thread..I'm gone

Now I understand--you see Dwayne I have no sound on this computer in my office so I thought you were referring to going to the page to HEAR the background music........after your second post I went to the page and saw the Fleetwood thread---NOW I GET IT ops: and I guess I should have put in my last post that even though I make every country concert I seldom HEAR the music cause-my eyes and photographic-pornographic memory is to busy scanning----anyway......Dwight Y. is coming to Rabbs on AUGUST 14TH NOT OCTOBER....you might also want to check out a completely hillarious comedian on August 9th--Rodney Carrington--his "nut sack" cds have parental advisory explicit content labels....

On another very nice note.... Sports56 WHBQ in Memphis has from 1-5pm, the Southern Sports Report... Main host is John "Rainman" Rainey.... CHC and I have just discovered that they have a brand new sports babe and SHE IS A FORMER POM PON GIRL AT LA. TECH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I heard there were a few people who listen to country music in the area, but I haven't witnessed any first hand. You will have to ask EJ if he has seen anyone for verification of a country music listener in our area.

The people I hang with have all their teeth and tend to listen to other things.

I am working on some ideas for Rabbs in the coming year that will be fun stuff and some oldies get togethers....and yes they would fit right in...I really can't say much until after we get the Peach deal done..the BROS would go crazy with the crowd at Rabbs.
