Well, this is encouraging, don't y'all think? At least he's willing to talk to folks. BTW, this has Dr. Jim Henderson written all over it. Bet Henderson either encouraged or ordered Ivey to hold this meeting.

Pawdawg will be there with bells on!

At least it's a sign he is willing to listen. Even if he just says why things would stay the same, at least he is willing to face people instead of hide behind a press release.

Both Henderson and Ivey have been mixing with the fans at baseball games. Not in a political way, but just walking around, making eye contact, and speaking. None of that glad handing BS. We have so far to go and so much to do. So many unknowns out there for us. Hopefully they are forming a plan based on the problems at hand. Tailgating has been an issue for 10 years now and this is the first real discussion that our AD or athletic department is willing to hear thoughts on.

Yes, I know Wood made one slight change that really didn't matter because he and LG took away parking that had been in use for decades.

The meeting went as well as expected. I think Ivey was surprised about the issues he faces. He was truly uninformed about how bad things had gotten. He knows now. I do believe he is sincere in wanting to make a difference.

it would go a LONG way if they just made it easier to be a fan.

tmac and wood just put up so many roadblocks.

Can you share what was brought up and their response?

Regarding the "make it easier to be a fan" part, our AD was in complete agreement when a couple of people stated how difficult it was to find and receive information. I think it blew his mind to find out things were so lacking in the "average fan" department.

I don't know every fan that was there, but I knew who several were. I only knew one who was a rather large donor, but several who were just average Tech fans who had been tailgating for many years before TMac screwed things up in the name of priority parking.

One very common sense remark came from a Shreveport fan who pointed out that the red and blue lots looked like a wasteland during games with so few vehicles parked there.

I was thinking this morning that we err on the "what if" the parking lot fills up and we can't get the money peeps a parking The chances of that actually happening are slim to none.
