On behalf of www.CrimsonNWhite.com I would like to welcome tech fan's to Las Cruces NM.
First off for the record, WE ARE NOT ULL or ULM.
New Mexico State University is a vibrant mix of Southwestern tradition and leading-edge technology. Historic buildings with red tile roofs mingle with modern libraries and laboratories on NMSU's expansive campus. Here you will find a major research university that is also a regional center of art and cultural activities.
New Mexico State researchers are developing the world's best chile varieties and sending scientific payloads aloft in rockets and high-altitude balloons. Astronomers in a program started by the late Clyde Tombaugh, discoverer of the planet Pluto, probe the mysteries of the universe, while civil engineers use "smart bridge" technology to solve down-to-earth problems of bridge safety. One of 152 universities classified by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching as Doctoral/Research Universities - Extensive, NMSU anchors the southern end of New Mexico's Rio Grande Research Corridor.
NMSU also is home to the American Southwest Theatre Company, where playwright and professor emeritus Mark Medoff, author of "Children of a Lesser God," has introduced a number of his creations. The Pan American Center and Aggie Memorial Stadium feature a different kind of drama-NCAA Division I athletics-plus concerts by top performing artists.
the University Museum in Kent Hall features permanent and traveling exhibitions relating to the natural sciences, social sciences, humanities and folk arts of the Southwest. The University Art Gallery in Williams Hall offers regular exhibitions of contemporary and historical art. The Music Center Recital Hall hosts a variety of concerts throughout the year. Anyone interested in stargazing can take advantage of regular events at the Clyde Tombaugh Campus Observatory.
With a multi-cultural student population of about 15,000, NMSU continues to build on its land-grant heritage of teaching, research and service. The university offers 74 bachelor's degree programs, 51 master's degree programs and 24 doctoral programs.
Outside the classroom, the choices are just as comprehensive. NMSU has an active student government and more than 200 student organizations-special-interest clubs, intramural sports, religious groups, ethnic organizations, political parties, fraternities and sororities. From rodeo and rugby to marketing and music, there is something for everyone
located at Las Cruces, a city of about 178,000 near New Mexico's borders with Texas and Mexico. The region features desert mesas, the farmlands of the Rio Grande valley, and the Organ Mountains, an extension of the Rocky Mountain chain.

Varsity Bulldog
Years ago a group of us made a road trip to Las Cruces for a football game. I think Matt Dunnigan was quarterback. We had a great time and I still remember the hang over.

Congrats to the Aggies for their WAC invite. If we stay in the WAC, I look forward to visiting Las Cruces on a fine Saturday afternoon for a football game.
