Not shaky Friday. Shaky today? Three up three down (w/out the error) is shaky? He still did his job today.

You are mis-remembering what happened in Arizona with the lead. LB send Broderson back out in the 9th when he should have sent Bates. Broderson had already done his job and walked the first two batters. Bates had to come in from RF instead of the bullpen (not warm) with two men on. Blame LB for that cluster, not our best over all player on the team.

LB did move Meyers to the 9th hole, after doing the same thing to Kurr because of his slump. So, it appears LB will make changes for the good of the team. He has also moved guys around defensively. So, maybe he might try Broderson as "the closer," or maybe allow Broderson to pitch into the 9th. Yeah, that happened in Game 2 at Arizona, and Broderson walked the first two hitters. But, Bates has been very skaky, not only that night, but against Little Rock too.

What happened after the Comeaux error? Oh that's right, Bates shut it down and retired the next batter. We won 6-0 today....

Did Harland throw any? If he did, I missed it. Amazing what happens when your starter has a quality outing.

Fun game. Great ballpark and plenty of Tech fans in the house.

Great job by Turner Swistak today! All this talk about others, and I (we!) have neglected to give kudos to our starter today. Awesome job!

    He did not.

Yes 6 innings is big. I’m still impressed with the Friday win and all the good things that happened against a great starting pitcher. That was special.

CUSA is very weak this year. Okay, let's say "mediocre." DBU has been the one program in the current alignment that could secure an at-large bid, usually host a regional, and maybe even a super-regional occasionally. This year that is all in doubt. Some of the WKU fans are excited thinking DBU's struggles means CUSA is strong and dangerous. Nope, just means DBU is having a sub-par year for them. There are still a bunch of non-conference games to be played by some of the CUSA teams, let's see them do something like win some series. DBU just lost a series to a lousy Air Force squad.

Congratulations to Swistak for a great performance against a really good DB team. Its encouraging knowing that there are a couple of players set up to return next season.
