Found this over on the Duke Athletics site. Looks like JB3 is not on their radar screen. Says Duke is finished interviewing and will decide this week. How sad.......

The Washington Redskins should find out within the next few days if they will retain offensive coordinator Hue Jackson. He is a candidate for the head coaching job at Duke University, and the school apparently plans to make its choice this week.

Bobby Ross, the one-time University of Maryland coach who has been out of coaching since resigning from the Detroit Lions in November 2000, interviewed for the job on Monday.

Jackson interviewed eight days ago. According to sources, he was told by Duke officials that they were done interviewing candidates and they would be back in touch with him soon after Monday's interview with Ross.

Jackson apparently was recommended for the job by Redskins Coach Steve Spurrier, a former coach at Duke who is close to the school's athletic director, Joe Alleva. Spurrier promoted Jackson from running backs coach to offensive coordinator this season after retaining him last year off the staff of former Redskins coach Marty Schottenheimer. Jackson has served as the Redskins' primary offensive play-caller in two full games and part of a third game this season.

Jackson was the offensive coordinator at Southern Cal prior to being hired by Schottenheimer in 2001 and spent 14 years as a college assistant coach.

Ross turns 67 in three weeks but is interested in returning to coaching. He has said he has resolved some health problems and is fit to coach again.
